  • "Faces of GM" /Disciples on "The Block"

Good morning, Camaro Comrades, Firebird Friends, and Corvette Cousins......

Below you'll find some links to YouTube where you can watch some of the many "Faces of GM" videos that will introduce you to some of the people who work to bring you the world's best cars and trucks -- and specifically - Camaro...

    First up:

Chris Berube - Program Manager - Chevy IndyCar

Chevrolet rejoined the IndyCar series and Team Chevy engineers are working to make sure their racing teams have the best engine possible. Chris Berube manages the team of engineers and he walks us through some of the steps between development and the winner’s circle.

Next is Jim Campbell - GM Vice President - Performance Vehicles and Motorsports -

The final 2012 COPO Camaro was auctioned off in January to benefit the American Heart Association. The Inferno Orange Metallic convertible race car has an engine hand-build by Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. Watch the video as Campbell walks through the assembly process of this supercharged Camaro.

Next up is Bill Wise -- Vehicle Performance Engineer - Vehicle Dynamics and Chassis Controls.

Bill Wise is a chassis control integration engineer working on the Chevy Camaro. That means he makes sure the traction control, stability control, performance traction management systems and ABS perform the way customers expect. It also means he gets to drive fast while he does his job. Recently he rode along with a couple of drivers from the IZOD IndyCar Seriesand while he enjoyed getting the feedback from some of the top drivers in the world, he admitted, “I’m not used to riding along. Usually I get to be the one scaring passengers.” Check out the video to see who he rode with and what they had to say about the Camaro

Next is Mark Dickens -- Director - Performance Variants, Performance Parts and Motorsports --

Chevrolet introduced the 2014 Camaro and Camaro Z/28 at the New York Auto Show. While enthusiasts have varying initial reaction to the changes, Program Engineering Manager Mark Dickens says, “It’s not just eye candy. It actually performs.” -- a perfect example of how form follows function. Check out the video to discover why Dickens says the styling enhancements were made with “track ready” performance in mind.
