A guy at my building’s parking lot told me yesterday that he pays for a full year of services in one go, and now I cannot stop thinking about whether I should do the same. I drive a 2019 QX50 that is just out of warranty, and so far I have been paying for each visit separately. It adds up, and I never know the final bill until I am standing at the counter. He said a package gives him one fixed price, and the workshop even reminds him when the next visit is due. That sounds nice, but I have been burned before by deals that look good at first and then have small rules hidden inside. My sister once bought a gym membership like that, and she never got her money back when she moved. So I started looking around to understand what these packages usually include. I read a page from a workshop in Mussafah about major and minor services, and it explained which checks and parts belong to each type, like oil, filters, brake checks, fluids and spark plugs. It helped me see why the two types cost different amounts, but it did not say anything about how packages are priced, so I still have questions. When I searched for Exclusive Infiniti major and minor service packages in Abu Dhabi, most of the results were just offers with big numbers and no details about what happens if you sell the car or miss a visit. So I wanted to ask real owners here. Did you buy a package, and did it really save you money compared to paying each time? What happens if you do not use all the visits, does the money just disappear? Can you move it to another car if you change vehicles? Also, how do you check that the package uses the right oil and the right filters, and not cheaper ones? And is it smart to pick a package that covers both major and minor visits, or only buy the minor one and pay for the big one later when it is due? One more thing I wonder about, does a package make resale easier, because the buyer can see a full service record? I do about 15,000 kilometers a year, so I am not sure I even need many visits. If you have any story, good or bad, I would love to read it. Thanks everyone.
