    Baldwin-Motion to Build 12 "New" 1969 Camaros

Always wanted a Baldwin-Motion car? Now's your chance: Joel Rosen is building 12 "new" 1969 Baldwin-Motion Camaros.
The man who put motion into muscle cars in the late 1960s is back and building a very limited number of Baldwin-Motion 1969 Camaros.
Yes, Mr. Motion himself, Joel Rosen, who now lives in Florida, has announced that he has teamed up with several of his former employees and will build a dozen 1969 Camaros with 540-cu.in., 600hp plus Merlin/Motion fuel-injected big blocks, according to his publicist Martyn L. Schorr.
The new cars will have 1969 Camaro bodies with correct VINs, but that’s where the similarity between the new and old Baldwin-Motion Camaros ends. The new cars will feature electric-powered hoods, no door handles, custom-made tube chassis, carbon-fiber axles, four-wheel independent suspension and giant four-wheel disc brakes with eight-piston calipers. All of the Camaros will have air conditioning and a sound system developed by Sony.
“Since each new Baldwin-Motion Camaro will be built to order, there will be a full menu of luxury and performance options for purchasers to choose from, including “boosted” engines to 1,000hp. Bragging rights are standard,” Rosen said.
Rosen built the original ground-pounding SS and Phase III 427 and 454 Camaros, Novas, Chevelle and Corvettes from 1967 to 1974 at his shop on Long Island, New York, creating the now legendary Baldwin-Motion cars. Rosen, now 66, has had many requests to go back in business recently but, for legal reasons, all were turned down, Schorr said.
The new Baldwin-Motion 1969 Camaro will debut November 1, at the Sony display at SEMA in Las Vegas.
