On May 8th, 2004, Westbrook Christian Church in Bolingbrook, IL will be hosting its 4th Annual Car Show and community outreach. This not-for-profit event has grown in the past 3 years to become the largest car show in the Bolingbrook area and it gets bigger and bigger every year. One of the reasons for the show’s success is that it’s more than just a car show, it’s a family and community oriented event. DJ music will be provided by Carousel Sound Company, great food, 50/50 raffle, door prizes (you'll have to earn them this year), face painting, and games are all a part of the family fun.
We guarantee this will be the funnest car show you'll ever attend.
Westbrook will have 3 times the awards that we had last year. Top 50 cars awarded trophies and 10 specialty awards will be given out to include best of the "BIG 3", trucks, motorcycles, people’s choice, and "Best of Show" just to name a few. There is also a club participation award for the largest number of club attendees. Exclusive to Westbrook’s car show is also the famous “Lemon” class for the, shall we say, “Show challenged” vehicles. Many local businesses help to sponsor the event. Registration is only $10.00 per car. Pre-registered cars get a free t-shirt. Goodie bags and dash plaques for the first 100 registered cars. Spectators are of course “FREE”. We are praying for over 300 cars to come this year.
Westbrook encourages its participants to bring their families to the show and enjoy Westbrook’s many activities and events throughout the day. There is a moon bouncer, dunk tank, and carnival games for the kids. Another Westbrook exclusive is the famous and very popular “VEGGIE CAR RACES”. This is an event where the car show participants get to team up and create a race car out of vegetables and then race them down a track against each other. Westbrook also has a trackless train and a clown for the kids to enjoy as well. The Scooby Doo “Mystery Machine” will be making a special appearance as well.
