What Im lookin for is a set of shorty headers equal length if possible that are greater than or equal to 1 3/4" primary. The current set of headers I have are good but cause my torque curve to be eratic from 1000-3000 RPM. Going to a bigger primary will flatten my torque curve out at a los of 10 ft# of torque at 1000 but making it up later, plus I should gain a few more ponies at 4000 RPM plus. I know that SLPoffers a shorty header but I do not want to get the Y-pipe and really dont want to pay for an item that will never be used. So are there any other companies out there that make a 1 3/4 or larger header?
I have checked most of the normal brands, and the thing I run into is 1 5/8 max size OD which is ok but hardly an improvment over my current set, or they make it only in a LT style with that size and dont make one for the std. tranny due to the hyd. clutch tube.(plastic to easy to melt). Any odd ball or little known companies that anyone knows of would be a help.
