my t/a dies in the cold

My 82 trans am is the most stubborn car i have ever seen, but i still love her. When i reach a stop sign in cold weather my rpm's drop to 400, then when i accelerate from the stop the car dies. I've been told that it's caused by a vacuum leak in the dash. Does any one have any diagrams that would be helpful? I have a few, but i'm looking for more details.
