    Here's some published data that was shared by DJ Worm at z06vette.com

    Magazine C6 Z06 test data:

    Car & Driver:
    11.7 sec @ 125 MPH 1/4 mile
    0-60 in 3.6 sec.
    0-100 in 7.9 sec.
    0-150 in 17 sec.
    Skidpad = 0.98g

    Motor Trend:
    11.5 sec. @ 127 MPH 1/4 mile
    0-60 in 3.7 sec.
    Skidpad = 1.02 g

    505 HP seems to be a minimum, conservative # !!

    Former Ride: 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 - 345 rwhp, 360 rwtq... stock internally.

    Current Ride: 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited - spec.B #312 of 500

      For comparison... the Saleen S7 does 0-150 in 17 seconds... the Ferrari F40 and F50 both need 18 seconds to get there.

          That Z06 looks marvelous, and that Saleen S7 I saw over on supercars.net ... not a bad 10 second car, if you ask me

            So they tested it? Or are they just suggested #'s? If there real thats great!

                  0-150, the Viper SRT-10 is about 5 seconds slower... or about 30 car lengths. It's a freaking SPANKING.

                      The price is at chevy's corvette site here.

                      Looks like $67,095 fully loaded...starts at $65,800.
                      black 95 t/a, a4, beefed up tranny w/ higher stall converter, transgo shift kit, trans temp gauge, trans cooler, richmond 3.73's, loudmouth, hypertech programmer, 160 thermo, descreened maf, TB bypass and airfoil, trick flow intake elbow, underdrive pulleys, moroso cai, edelbrock panhard rod, bmr stb, slp sfc's, fiberglass firehawk hood, hawk pads, taylor wires, ngk plugs, royal purple fluids,...and hopefully more to come

                          Thats a lot of money BUT not compared to the ferraris, saleen s7s, or vipers!!! I would have to say "that is the best car I have ever seen"! I keep tellin myself I am going to have a c5 but now I am telling myself I am gonna have a C6 Z06...Wishful thinking...

                              This is what I was told today regarding my order.

                              You are next on the list for an allocation on 9/8. (Priority 1 in the preliminary order list)

                              Be mindful of the constraints on the QL9 polished wheels - the dealer may or may not get a set of wheels to put onto the order. If you want the wheels, your order may not get placed on the 8th, depending on the constraint availability.
