  • Good Buy? 02 Ws.6

A friend of mine is considering selling me her car. It's a black 2002 WS6, t-tops, 6-spd, leather, loudmouth exhaust, chrome wheels, and has 12,800 miles. She hardly ever drives it and says its basically brand new (she bought it new). The only problems I remember her having was with the shift fork. She said she would probably sell it to me for a little over 20k.

I have always loved ws6's. I've previously owned an 82 t/a with the Knight Rider exterior conversion (used to post here back on the old boards), and a 97 v6 firebird. I just graduated college and am working full time and want to buy a nice car (all of my cars have had over 100k miles on them lol).

    Sound like a good buy?

For that mileage, $20K sounds pretty good. What exactly is the problem with the shift fork?

Just to give you an idea, Im a car dealer and when I went to Maniem auto auction and was bidding on a 02 ws6 with 29k on it and it went for 19k at the auction! So I would think 20k isnt that bad and its even better you know the car.

about the shift fork...she said she had to get it replaced by the dealer a few years ago. only problem with it now is, when it's cold out it's hard to shift but after about 10 minutes it's fine.

i will be going to test drive it this weekend
