    Huh! They are capping the wholesale price in Hawaii, but not the retail price.
    I think it would be better if they would lower the taxes per gallon.

    Those taxes pay for your roads. With road funds country wide being limited, without those taxes, the roads would soon start falling apart. Imagine potholes never getting filled, roadways never being overlayed, built or maintained in any way. If a bridge collapses or just gets old the road is simply closed. In KY our gas taxes are the lowest of any state around and we are having big time problems even maintaining alot of existing roads, much less building new ones or rebuilding existing.

    In this country, our gas taxes are very low compared to most of the rest of the world.

    The dramatic cost increases for gas are due to the oil companies, not the taxes.
