  • Well Joe I know how you feel.....

I live in New Orleans, I am currently in Dallas with relatives for this thing to finish. I don't know if I still have a home or my Bird, cause I had to leave her in order to get my family out safely.
Best case is I will have water damage but little to no structural damage. Hopefully the roof is still there. The interior stuff can be replaced. It will probably be a few days before I know for sure what the total damage is.
You guys say a prayer for us cause it will be a long recovery from this. I think you already know this Joe.

Even though New Orleans has received some significant wind and water damage, it appears for now that fortunately NO escaped the much hyped city-wide flood and deaths. I guess all the doom and gloomers are dissapointed.

Unfortunately, Mobile, AL appears to be suffering from much greater flooding damage.

I truly hope your property and home are not too badly damaged. At least you were able to get out of there in time.

Damn..... this brings a tear to my eye and a shiver of rememberance. My prayers go out to you, I hope things work out better than what you expect. I still haven't finished repairs and it's been a year.

I know these must be trying times, but just remember... The house is only wood. It can be repaired. As long as you and your family are safe, everything will work out great. The Bird is also repairable/replaceable. Glad to hear you are okay and my prayers go out to you.
