Out of Gas................

With the pipeline shutdown, panic buying began in our area on Wednesday. Prices are sky high and our local media in Charlotte reported this morning that 47 stations are completely out of gasoline. I suppose this was created for the most part by the panic buying but I doubt it wil go away soon because I don't think they can replenish the supplies in the stations quick enough. And if the refineries and pipeline aren't operating soon, it will become much worse here in our area.

Having said that, a gas shortage is nothing compared to what all the other folks directly affected by the hurricane are going thru right now. I surely hope we can help all these folks out of this major crisis.

and you know what kills me? I95 South bound, here in the DC metroplex and Northern VA..is getting bumper to bumper with "holiday travelers"......what a bunch of "me first care less" idiots. i hope they all get marooned in NC or SC on thier little beachie trips......

I hear you Ken......I feel the same way. This tragedy being experienced in the gulf coast states has me so angered at our lack of adequate response that everything else seems trivial at this point.
