  • Links to full size tornado pics inside!!

Here are the links to the full size tornado pics I promised you guys. I have a bunch more but limited server space, so after a few days I may replace them with some new ones and post again if there's an interest. If the picture is larger than the screen, be sure to scroll around, some of the pictures have more than one spout in them that might be off the screen edge if it doesn't automatically resize to fit your screen. Here you go (they're not all the same pics I posted before)....

    Dial-up beware!

Those are some pretty amazing pictures.

In your other post, you said you went to the outer banks and camped at waves. I'm not familiar with where that is and was just curious.

The Outer Banks are made up of a couple of different islands, the main one being Hatteras Island. It's about 70 miles long I believe, very narrow. You can see the ocean on one side and the sound on the other in most places when you're driving down the road. It's populated by several small towns with the rest of the island just sand and dunes. Most of the island is part of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Waves is one small town located at about the halfway point down Hatteras.

Try this (don't know if this will work):

Here are some more photos of the general area. It's a very beautiful area if you like the beach, and the beaches are clean and for the most part empty if you stay away from the larger towns. My wife wants to get a vacation house there someday, when we can afford it. I'd love to have a boat there to go fishing out in the gulf stream. The northern part of the Outer Banks is dominated by Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills. They are large commercial centers and a big tourist area. South of that, which is most of Hatterras Island and Ockracoke island (which you can only get to by ferry) it's only small towns populated mainly by vacation homes and some smaller hotels.
