When I saw my buddy's dad's wolfdog (half wolf/half malmute...Dakota), I knew that one day I had to have one. My ma likes big dogs...but I'm not sure about that big!

And as for the whole aggressiveness thing, Dakota is one of the sweetest animals I've ever been around. I've been around beagles that were more aggressive than him. As a matter of fact, he would actually get in the corner and bark at you from a safe distance when you would first come in to the house...and if he didn't know you of course. He was, though, one of the biggest beggars at the dinner table that I've ever seen

I've always loved dogs...ever since I was young. A wolfdog is just so unique...beautiful features, great personalities (if you're on their good side I'm sure! ), and smart...oh are they smart

Okay... Okay... I read it. Just keep me off the list.

Actually, it was very interesting. I sent it to my Cousin who is part of a Wolf preservation foundation who is in partnership with WestConn University here in Connecticut. She is working to create a larger preserve in Northern CT for them (there's a small one up there now), and has expressed interest in someday owning a Wolfdog as well.

She said she'd be happy to forward this to her entire organization (around 600 members).

wolfdogs are ok around kids, but they have to be low content, and of course, never leave a child unattended with any large dog... kids have a way of pestering a dog untill it can take no more... not intentionally, thats just kids...

Hey every year over here in the uk a different dog breed gets a bad name, the media blow a storie out of preportionand hey presto another savage animal! People just need to open there minds and learn to apreciate these animals, not just pic up the daily paper and read the cr@p thats been spread around. My cousin in cape town had a Rottweiler, that breed got a real bad name over here, yet it was one of the calmist, sweetest, nicest and loyal dogs ive ever seen! (apart from my black labrador)!
