happy birthday to Shelby....

    happy birthday to Shelby....

    2 years ago today Mary rescued her from a shelter.....but...after dropping her off at the vet for checkups, and then she was supposed to go to a volunteer foster home (mary was doing her job with GRREAT),.....mary fell in love with her, turned around and made us the foster home......... 2 months later we adopted her... she's a collings all the way we esitmated her age at around 6 when we got her..so she's approx 8 now... the shelter picked her up as an abandoned stray how anyone could have gotten rid of this girl its beyone me...shes the sweetest dog I've ever known...

    Happy Birthday Shelby. I usually give my dog a thing of "Fancy Feast" as a present. Here's Zaily on her 3 year old birthday. (July 30) You gotta love the goldens!!

      Happy B-day Shelby... amazing that Shelby has the toy... Doesn't keona plat queen of the toys and keep it away from her?

          Ken - Whatever happened with the Golden that was found stabbed? Did it ever find a foster home?

            yes, its in a foster home and doing very good...in fact, the fosterers (is that a word ) are thinking about adopting.

              Hahaha...that picture of Keona taking Shelby's toy is hilarious. I love watching animals play around...they crack me up sometimes.

              Actually...2 days ago marks 9 months since we've adopted our dog...Levi, an airedale terrier.

              He was a stray, and a pretty independent pooch when we got him. They figured he was just under 2 years old when we adopted him. I remember waking up one morning when no one was home, and hearing him ing a bit. He was (and still is) quite the adventurer. After I saw this though, and after I laughed, we had to get serious on his training. The reason why he is stuck also, was because he was too afraid to jump down, and he didn't know how to walk backwards at this point to get back on the table that you cannot see in the picture.
