Maybe it will just remind me of how I dump so much money in to her only to have some other unrelated problem occur soon after...but
the less, I do it for the love of my vehicle.
Ever since I was young, I've loved 2 cars...firebirds and corvettes. I remember seeing literally brand new third gens and c4's, and just falling in love with them.
Another thing I always said when I was young was that I was going to a get a tattoo one day.
Well, I was with my buddy yesterday, and we took a ride to downstate Illinois to visit his dad. He's been doing tattoo's for 12 years...and always offered to hook us up if we wanted. It was spur of the moment, but I knew I always wanted one...so I got one.
My friend got an eagle's head/neck with the feathers colored in a red, white, and blue sequence.
There are 3 tattoos I have always wanted...and figured this would be the best one as my first. The most important thing about a tattoo to me is that it has to have meaning. Tribal stuff looks good, but means nothing to me. If it wasn't for the f-body, I wouldn't have my current love for cars, which in turn is going to be my profession. I just got it on my upper right arm...a tad over 2 hours non stop. It's not even 24 hours old as of now.
In about 2 weeks, after it is fully healed, I'm going back for a touch up. He's going to go over the colors again in spots to give it a deeper and more consitant look. After over 2 straight hours, he didn't want to risk any type of scarring because my arm was pretty battered up at that point.
The wingspan is about 6 inches or so, and is about maybe 3 or 4 inches or so from the bottom of the feathers to the top of the head.
The picture was taken by me also...kinda hard to take a picture of something you cannot fully see...but I think I did good.
