Biodiesel made more sense a few years back. Now, the few diesels that are on the used car market are way overpriced, as demand has increased. While biodiesel sounds cheap, you'll soon discover what most users have discovered...it's a pain in the A##. You need to make frequent stops to get it, then tote it home. You have to set-up a filter system in your house/garage to filter it. You need to frequently change the primary filter. You then have to store the filtered oil. You need to fill up your tank frequently. And the biggest issue...it stinks. I wouldn't want to keep that stuff in my garage/basement. I've also noticed, where many places we're giving it away, some have started charging. One company has begun buying, filtering and reselling it. I believe they charge like $2.00 a gallon for it.
Capitalism at it's best...find a great deal, someone will exploit it until it doesn't make sense to do anymore. For the $750 a year woth of gasoline I use, it's not worth the extra work to do. Besides, I still need to buy a diesel vehicle. Why bother?
Well these are the first of many, everytime we have increased fuel costs, these guys come out of the woodwork to hawk something that will save us a bunch of money.
there ja go!
