This is similar to my bases's attempts to scare away the flying cows aka Canukian err Canadian Geese... We put out realistic life-size coyote manequins ... The Canadian geese currently use them as shade during the heat of the day
nothing worked so far hahahhahahaahaha (they cross the roads without fear of any car )
I emailed the author with a permanant non-lethal solution. Trap and relocate
Here is my emailOriginally posted by RIR, The man with the planMy father in Fort Walton Beach, Florida had a similar problem. He has
some 80' Pine trees in his yard, and they were in the trees eating pinecones and literally throwing them on to his 99 silverado, leaving huge craterish
dentsin the truck. All the scare tactics, Cayenne
pepper failed. One squirrel was so brazen, it entered their house ala
santa clause, and ran amok when it was discovered ,munching on some
planters peanuts, until the patio door was opened.
Coyote pea, cayenne pepper, it all failed. I then
mentioned to my father why don't you trap them and
drive them far away. So he did. He bought some
non-harmful live-animal traps and baited them with
peanut butter. In 2 months he safely and politically
correctly, removed 12+ squirrels.
He realeased them 5 miles away at the Hurlburt Field archery range. I
guess he hopes they'll be an archers
target. in 6 years, they have not been back
Only permanant solution is trapping and removal ..
they're just too damend smart.Rhode Island Red *Lurker since 1997*
