I heard on this on the radio:

A 17 year old(6-4 290 lbs.) was driving home and he accidentyly cut some guy off. He was middle aged 5-8 145 lbs. Well the older man got really mad and began to follow the boy home. The boy called his father, and his father told him to come straight home. Well the man still followed him to his house. The boy parked his car on the side of the street and began to run. The man then tryed to run him down and hit the boy with his SUV. The boy flipped but landed on his feet right next to the driver. The window was open so he punched the man twice in the head and killed him.

They are now thinking of charging the boy with murder I think that's terrible.

I would have done the same thing.....If by some chance I wasn't carrying a gun that night....staring into a .45 bore is usually enough to stop most (sober) aggressors...

Here in NC you are allowed to use equal (or lessor) force to defend yourself. fists to fists, knife to knife, car to car (LOL). It could be there is more to this than just the story you heard on the radio...

I think it was self defense, they are trying to say he didn't have to hit him that hard I think it was justified, now if the guy drove off and the boy chased him down and then stabbed him or something....that may be different. But like you said there could be more to the story, I just relayed what I heard

The story as you told it would be self-defense. The boy tried to flee and was persued. He was then assaulted with a weapon and fought back with fists. However, I have a strong feeling that there is far more to it than that. We shall see.

I think they said something like brain contusions, but i'm not sure. They said they couldnt opperate becuase the swelling was so bad.

Its very possible. If you think about it, u can do alot with a little bit of force. Look at our Seal training. One hit, dead instantly. So ya its possible, then considering he's 200+ lbs!!!

If there's not more to it than that, then I think they should let the kid go. He's lucky getting hit by the SUV didn't kill him. But if the courts find that it's ok to follow someone home who cut you off and then run them over with your car, I'm gonna have to reinforce my bumper...

lmao. Ya seriously, I will, considering 6 bolts and the bumper is off on my beast!.. Its going to come down to how they can prove that the old man really did/or tried to hit the kid with the SUV. Who knows

One shot kill? I find that hard to believe, unless it's a full force shot to a weak spot , by someone that know's how to throw a strike. They teach that kind of stuff in Krav Maga, but you'd have to land a shot pretty perfectly.

Look at that beast. You'd think he'd win every K-1 bout he's ever been in, right? He doesn't though. If Bob Sapp can't knock out opponents in a few strikes then i can't imagine some high school kid killing someone, especially since Sapp has been in numerous fights against pros whereas this kid may not ever have even been in a scuffle at school.

That article even says that the authorities say he was hit by the SUV first. If he is not let off there is something completely wrong with our judicial system. I'm sure the kid did not intend to kill the man but was just reacting to being hit and was trying to defend himself. Everyone here has cut someone off at one time or another mistakes happen thats why we have car insurance. I'm sure if the man would have just been knocked out that he would be getting charged for attempted murder right now and the kid wouldn't have a single charge pressed against him. Its a shame that he was killed but he got what he deserved the kid was just defending himself.

If thats all there is to it then the kid is definately not guilty, however sicne the other guy isnt around and the article didnt list any witnesses we cant say for sure. Also it is true that it would be veeeeeeery difficult for the kid to kill him like that, however if just by chance he hit the right spot at the right angle than it is possible, unlikely yes, but defiantely possible. We've all had things that if everything didnt wokr out just right it wouldnt ahve happened, so it is possible that this occurred here as well.
