Yeah, I've actually been following this for a while. The first talks of it on the radio were actually over a year ago. There was also a recent article about it at the BBC site...complete with the thoughts of the procedure from people around the world.

This is pretty crazy. I hope they can get it right...it could help out many people in this world. Although you would resemble yourself more than the donor, I've read many times that in the end (of course), you do look like a different person. In addition to the surgery, I guess there is a group of people who are ready to offer counseling and mental relief to the test patient afterwards. It's gotta be crazy to look in the mirror for the rest of your life, and not seeing who you once were.

      Good article.

But remember, a lot of bad accident and burn victims feel that way anyway. At least they will see what resembles a person and not all freakish.

Very true. None the less...it's still gotta be something out of this world.

I really do hope this works out though, it could be such a great thing if used the right way. People without a facial disfigurement should never be allowed to have this surgery...criminals trying to get a new identity and such.
