Anybody work for NEXTEL in here???

I just got Nextel last month and i already hate it with a passion. Everything sucks about it. People say they send me text messages and ill get them a day later, calls are always dropped, and i just signed a 2 year contract and now have 23 months of that left. So does anybody work for Nextel/Sprint that can cancell my plan without having to pay the 200 cancellation fee. Like a f-body.com discount. I sure hope somebody can help me out.

Nextel is garbage...I feel for you. A bunch of my friends have it and when I was shopping for my phone, kept trying me to convince me to get one. They pay almost 90 bucks a month, and everytime I call them, I get the infamous "Please hold while the Nextel subscriber you are trying to reach is located"....this happens again, and finally 2 minutes later...I get their voicemail. They do have their phones on also, it just takes about 10 tries to get through.

If you do get a hookup to change, I suggest U.S. Cellular. For 60 bucks a month, I get increased unlimited night and weekends (7pm to 7am), insurance, unlimited call me minutes, 3000 anytime, and text messaging.

Nextel is really spotty depending on where you live in the country. I used to have Nextel when I was a carpenter. In the Northeast (at least in CT), it works pretty good. I rarely had a dropped or missed call. However, a friend of mine lives in Ohio, and he said the Nextel service in his area is next to useless.

Nextel is total garbage. I've had it for almost 2 years now. The service sucks, the customer service is TERRIBLE. They have that "Whatever" attitude, like they don't care to keep you as a customer. I don't have service anywhere in my house, it constantly beeps in and out of service/no service. I just like the walkie talkie feature. Everybody I know uses it, and I like it, so that's what keeps me with them. If walkie talkie isn't important to you, THEN DO NOT GET NEXTEL. That's the only good thing about it. I am very unhappy with my service but I can live with it.

I've never used Nextel, but I know A LOT of people around this area (central PA) have it. I think the walkie talkie feature is what brings everyone in. I've never heard anyone personally say they had problems with Nextel. Sounds like the Midwest is a weak area for them. I have Cingular and am relatively happy with them.

So does anybody know anybody that can cancel my account for free. The text messaging sucks with nextel too, this extremly hot girl that wants me real bad (ill try to post a pic) always says she text's me but i never get them until the next day. So it takes like 20 hours for a single text to get to me. REDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

In Southern California, Nextel too is absolute garbage. I use to have service with Nextel and it was absolutely the biggest pain in the rear beggining with coverage and ending with customer service (if you can call it that). Prices are horrible too! I now have Verizon wireless and it is by far the best cellular provider around here on all levels. I still have to use a Nextel that my job provides me with, and everyone from the manager to the employees hate it. Sure it has a Two-Way direct connect radio, but what good is it if you have no reception? 85% of the the direct connect calls are cut short due to garbling, and lost signal. I dont understand how something so unreliable can be considered a "Business Tool."

Pure, the chances of you finding someone who can cancel your account for free is very unlikely. Even employees cant just cancel your account without an in dept investigation by the vermin who prey on innocent people. Just pay the early temination fee, it's really worth it! Plus you can sell your phone on the ebay for more than what you paid to help pay for the early termination fee.

I will definatly sell my phone on ebay. I can sell the phone (i530), car charger, wall charger, holster and 1 normal battery and 1 lithium extended battery. I think I can get maybe 80 bucks for it.

One of my friends is in the army and he has the capability to print out the forms that tell soldiers that they are now on Active Duty and are going to Iraq. He can print me out one of those and i can fax it to Nextel and they cancel it for free i guess. My friend is in the process of doing this and hopefully it works. I know its kinda fraud and i feel kind of bad possing as a soldier but its worth a shot i guess

I have Cingular. I have had it for almost 2 years and it works for me. Plus Thanks to "AmericanZ28" (My Brother) i just got my new phone. This phone is just great. It has external memory cap. blue tooth and all of the above.
The downside. Now i have to help my brother change his manifold and heads on The Z29.
Oh well its okay!! But ya i have a buddy that works for Nextel, and he even says it sucks, but he has it since its only 20 bucks a month. Employee discount!
