  • Dyno Graph for C6 Z06

This is a Mustang Dyno... it's a 2006 Z06 (the '05 is a typo)... Mustang dyno's are typically lower than DynoJets by quite a bit. Also, the Z06's redline is 7,000 RPMs, and the HP curve was still climbing when the operator let off the gas at 6500...

Anyone still questioning the 127 mph trap speeds?

Former Ride: 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 - 345 rwhp, 360 rwtq... stock internally.

    Current Ride: 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Limited - spec.B #312 of 500

Add 10-15 HP if he would have pulled it to 7k. Then add about another 15-20 HP if it were done accurately on a Dyno Jet. Then factor in drivetrain loss! WOW! If this is a genuine '06 Z dyno graph, this is gonna be one bad mutha!

Although impressive, it could be better.

I'd like to see it compare more closely to my favorite car....
can anyone guess what it is?? here are the stats::

            Engine: twin-turbocharged 6.0L SOHC 36-valve V-12 engine
            Net Power: 604 hp @ 4,800 - 5,100 rpm
            Net Torque: 738 lb-ft @ 2,000 - 4,000 rpm

Can you even *imagine* 738 lb-ft of torque??

Red 95 Trans Am: M6, Moroso CAI, Magnaflow, Spohn sway bars, back to life as of 2/15/10!!!
              SOLD- Kinda miss it
94 Del Sol VTEC: 27 city/ 33 highway, knee deep in slowness
              SOLD- Good riddance!
2006 Ford Fusion: 2.3, 5 speed, could run 15lbs of boost with a 150 shot and it'd still be slow

                This one.

185k though! For roughly 40% of the cost of the SL65, you can have a better looking, 1400 lb less (no typo, the SL65 AMG's weigh 4500 lbs ) , better sounding, better handling, American muscle.

And the 06 Z still wins the race.

That's what I was going to say.

I'd rather have the 65... but money is NOT no object... I'll take the C6 Z06 and put the Merc in my rearview mirror any day.

                    Mercades Benz SL65 AMG!

Dont forget guys, the top on the merc goes down! And the quality... don't even get me started on how well a SL65AMG is built. That is why it weighs so much, it is a very solid quality car.

of course...if money is no object...

On a budget, the Vette would be sitting in my garage. And yes, i'm sure the vette would beat the AMG on a road course.

                    Good job guessing!!

Don't confuse "high quality" with "nice presentation" ... the Merc will spend 4 times the hours in the shop than the Vette will.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Hyundai's spend less time in the shop than a Mercedes-Benz and a Benz will cost 4 times more to work on. And you don't want to hear what I have to say about guys who drive convertible luxury sports cars.

I'm surprised to see Mini so low on that list since it's a BMW company.

Quite a few of those ratings surprised me. Ouch!
