Thanks, it is allmost time to put her away.I do love my chevys. Ialso have a 92 z34 lumina coupe thats in storage now.I will get a pic, its my wifes car 4200 kms and very clean.

I've always had a real soft spot for Z34s...I just wish that engine wasnt so hi maint or I prolly would have bought one by now...(wish they had offered it ina ragtop version)

I bought a torch red 1993 Lumina Z34 brand new and owned it for 7 years (traded in 2000). The car was great until it hit 50K. Everything went wrong. The timing belt needed to be replaced (huge undertaking on the 3.4 TDC engine), the alternator was replaced for the SECOND time, the valves were knocking like crazy and needed to be adjusted... The 3.4 Twin Dual Cam was a great concept, but poorly executed.

Still, it remained one of my favorite cars I owned when it was running correctly. That, unfortunately, was seldom.

My lumina has ate 2 alternaters also, 1 bat. Do not want to think about timming belt,i have heard horror storys about them.The car has never seen a winter, I will keep touching wood, hopefully nothing major happen when i bring her out this spring.

How many miles on the Lumina? I traded mine in with 72K.

Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did. I have a '92 Grand Prix SE with the 3.4 sitting in my driveway, to get junked. Guess what it needs? Yep... the timing belt.
