Hey guys,
It's nice to come back to the forums after a week...I almost missed some of ya
To fill ya'll in, last week monday was my last day at work. Work was where I always had access to a computer, so that's when I always posted. My computer at some is a POS, and belongs to my parents, so it didn't leave with me. On tuesday and wednesday was packing day. On thursday morning, I loaded my T/A up to the brim with my belongings, and set off to Laramie, WY to begin my extended education at Wyotech. I made it 980 miles or so on thursday, and spent the night in Cheyenne. On friday, I came to laramie, registered, and pretty much got settled until yesterday...which was my first day of school. I was happy to say that the t/a got me there nice and safe also...with no problems as well
Unfortunately, I won't be able to get to a computer much. I don't have one, my roommates (the one I am on now) is always on it, and I am always asleep when the school's computer rooms are open. I have classes from 4:30 p.m. til 1:40 a.m.
After that, it's usually homework and sleep time until noonish. I've been trying to get a job, so hopefully that is what I will be doing a couple hours before school.
By the time I graduate though, I will have an associates in business management, be a certified welder, and be about halfway towards being ASE certified...all in 12 months
The downsides....being over 7000 feet above sea level. My car feels so slow
Another downside....a 50 percent chance of snow at midnight tonight....or the fact that my roommates told me that they had 7 inches in the first week of june this past year. Looks like I'll be hitchin some rides with my neighbors who have some 4 wheel drive pickups with 6 inch lifts.
Going from chicago to this, is, a cultural shock to say the least. I've never realized how nice random people can actually be, or just hearing a simple hello as you walk somewhere. It's also crazy seeing mountains every day I wake up...never really seen 'em before.
I figured I'd just check in with the f-bod bretheren though. I'll try and get on as much as possible, but I have a feeling this next year is going to be an extremely busy one for me.
Take care everyone,
Chris
