I don't use Zanio (notice the spelling?) car wax (that'll kill Ken). I use Turtle Wax Hard Shell.

    Just kidding. haha

Awesome car, Norm. Simply awesome. That is very cool you were able to watch the build.

Some day, my dream is to fly to Korea to see a KIA Rio being built. Driving it from station to station would top off an exciting trip.

        Hey Norm,

Just curious, why you chose not to take possession of it at the Corvette Museum. I read about that option a little while back. If I reach a point to where I can buy my Vette new...I will definitely choose that option. The fewer people involved in turning that key the better...especially dealerships.

Awesome. BTW, I thought you ordered the polished wheels? Would you mind posting some more pics of the dry sump install and whatever else you have?

Dang, I wanted to do that with my ZR-1. I ultimately ended up getting one already at a dealership. I'm jealous.

I orginally ordered it with polished wheels. But there is a constraint on the wheels that could have delayed the delivery of my car more than a month. I wanted the car, and I wanted it now. I may do a wheel exchange and get chrome wheels later, but after seeing the car in person with the painted wheels, I may leave it as is. I like it.

When I visted the plant in 2000, I was 18 years old, it was incredible! I was in a group of about 15 people with the youngest being around 9 or 10. Towards the end of the line, they start the engines for the first while the vette is still hanging, and still moving along the line. Well, our tour guide walked over to the operator who had the job of starting every vette. The guy hands a set of keys to the tour guide and she walks back towards us. She offers this 9 year old right in front of me the keys and says "lets go fire one up." The kid shys away and the tour guide starts to look up for the next youngest kid, prolly like 12, and makes the mistake of crossing eyes with me. She hesitates then begins to lift the keys towards the 12 year old to my right, I don't hesiatate and grab the keys from her. She complys and says follow me. So, I cross between two vettes still moving, still in the air, and she introduces me to the operator and he then points to this black vette and says go ahead. I climb in, literally. And turn it over. I have never been so excited in my life. He fills out one of those certificates that says I helped with the birth of a legend. It was truly amazing for me seeing how i was just starting to get into cars.

I am really sorry that was so long and wordy, but I can't imagine how excited you must be Norm. Congrats!

2005 GTO, Quicksilver, 6-Speed, DynaTech LT's and thats it. 366.6 hp/366.7 tq last time I checked.

Nothing at all to be sorry about. I appreciate positive posts like that. It's a nice break from the drama that occurs so much of the time on the net.
