You're probably right, but he says it again in the description. I'd email just to make sure, but it's gotta be a typo.

Either that or something is really, really wrong with the car.

salvage title would be the only reason a vette price could be that low. but either wya, a 01 vert for 5500 how can u loose really?

You could sell parts alone off that car and make a profit.

But what is the opportunity cost of taking a car apart piece by piece and then finding buyers for each piece? More than I am willing to pay.

Did anyone call to find out if this is a typo? ... I would really consider this.

I'll call myself later today, I'm just wondering if someone already did.

This car would immediately be driven to Speed, Inc for the 427 conversion.

Even if it had a salvage title it would still sell for way more than that. That clean and that low of miles you could except to atleast pay 10k for it if its right.

And definitely more than I'd be willing to do. But for someone with tons of time on their hands and $5,500 (if that's the actual price), it would turn a nice profit for parts (again, assuming something was way wrong with it). I don't have time or $5,500 to burn, however.

I called and left a message for the seller. We'll see how things progress... could be interesting.

I looked it up, it's just outside of Houston. They have deciduous trees there. In some parts of texas it gets colder than a lot of people realize. That said, I believe it's the change in length of days that leads to trees losing their leaves. So, I wouldn't look at that as a contradiction.

I'd like to add that if this is in fact the actual price, and if the car is in decent shape... it will have a 427 in it before spring time

Arrrrrgh... then again... I just... don't want... a convertible.

                              I'm torn.
