know when to walk away, know when to run (Kenny Rogers, the Gambler)...
the one thing about wolfdogs you learn thru the years, is when they have something that means a whole lot to em...when over time or all of sudden, you just dont'.....and i mean dont....take it from em...
stopped at PetsMart today to pick up some dog food, so i bought a new squeeky ball for the goldens, and a petsmart frisbie..cause Reno(the male golden) likes to catch em.... but guess what? Keona, my wolfdog...ran that thing down on the first toss and took over, she loved it....
she brought it to me..i threw it again....and that was it...Reno tried to take it, but stopped dead in his tracks, without Keona doing anything...it was then I knew...this thing is hers......Reno turned and walked away...as if saying "dude...this is hers...forget it"......
I think the last pic with my hand gently reaching for it says it all, and yes, it could be a bluff, but out of respect for her, I didnt take it......or take the chance of loosing a hand.....
and having an "incident", with upper fangs borderline 2" and a bitting power of almost 2,000 lbs per square inch......you just dont mess around.......
