I read an article the other day from the state government that said "it is not gouging. It is maximizing profits." hmm... It sure sounds like the same thing to me.

Gas prices have steady been droping here in the west of Canada. While it may only be 1 cent per liter every week its still in the right direction. We are down to 90 cents a liter.

All the back tracking of gas prices up here is because the government is threatening to look into gas prices and making some caps. So I think they are doing some back pedaling to keep the gov. at bay.

that would be around $10.56 a gallon here. $2.82 per liter thats just crazy!
Its 88.9 cents per litter right now here, or $3.32 a gallon.

I suppose it is just like any other regionalized prices, it would depend on income. Granted that is looks like an insane price, but if the average person makes the equivilant of $18/hr then it is not much higher than here in the states.

On a side note, my local price of Unleaded is around 2.77 per gallon. I took a road trip yesterday to the west coast of Florida......Clearwater where unleaded was $2.45. A friend of mine on the east coast of Florida pays on average $3.05 a gallon. How there can be a .60¢ per gallon difference on one coast vs. the other is a joke. We're still in the same bloody state and it's not really that far apart. The kicker down here is that where the average income is higher, so is the cost of living.
