  • buy or not?

what would you do?(keep in mind I just bought a 95 formula and I have another f-body, a trans am)..i must be crazy..cant see these cars abandoned or owned by the wrong people should I seek proffesional help ?

I found a 99 camaro z28 with damage to the hood, one headlight bumper, both fenders but the airbags are ok...£1000, under 2000$... what do you think?
this is the listing test: 'Chevrolet Camaro Z28. T-reg, 1999, auto, leather, air-con, 5200km on the clock, light damage to the front hence the sale. Fully alarmed and immobilised. '

Something seems fishy but I spoke to the guy and I m going to see it tomorrow..

hmm sounds like a great project car... just be sure to make sure it doesn't seem fishy.. Just doe the usual and run it through a fine-toothed-comb (engine and etc) You could also look up what the parts would cost for you there in London... I'm sure they'd cost more than here, something to consider.

        Speak for yourself there wolfie.......

To me, it sounds like light front end damage. If the replacement parts could be had cheap, that would be a good project. What I typically try to do is buy a car like that, put minimal cash into it, drive it for maybe 40-50K miles and resell it for at least what I have in it. This way I don't lose any money and can enjoy the car for a couple of years. Usually it works out but sometimes it doesn't..... ya never know when something major goes wrong. Just be careful and do the math on what is required to get the car up to good shape. Be sure to factor in things like paint and what the value will be once it's done. Sounds like a nice find.

I bought it... had a big smile on my face all day....

i was surprised the ls1 is quieter and smoother than the lt1, it doesnt have dual exhaust, I thought all ls1 and lt1 engines have dual exhaust..its the european version uk it has genuine 5017 km on the clock, clean and smells like new still

Bad part is that the front rails are a bit twisted, around 6 ,7 inches to the left, needs new bonnet, right hand side headlamp , maybe both fenders and r/h turn signal, and the metal part that holds the headlamps under the air cleaner , the big metal inner bumper, and a new bumper..
I wonder if it will be a safe car to drive once fixed, considering the rails need to be straightened

That is not good. That part of the repair need to go on a frame rack and be properly aligned using lasers. 6-7 inches is a pretty good twist, hopefully you can find someone that can correctly straighten it.
