  • story of my modding life....

tried the "quick instal" with the gauges... took the top part of the trim loose, easy does it pulled it forward enough to exspose the center right ac duct operning, where the plug for connecting the gauges is suposed to be taped (the Manaro comes standard with these and has the same wiring harness)... welp... it was not there.... only about 2 out of 10 folks found it there... guess im in the majority.

now i had to order the radio removal tool from www.installer.com when it gets here, it looks like a simple job of removing the radio, undoing the bolts and pulling the center of the dash back to find the wire, plug it in and go....

i did go ahead and mount the gauges though, why not?

Umm..... yeah right. If you have my kind of luck, it will take 3 hours of dash disassembly just to remove the radio, another 3 days to put it back because nothing will want to line up. I feel your pain. funny thing is that gauge pod looks alot like frog eyes.

naw, i talked to plenty of other goat owners that did this, the radio just slides right out, no wires...pretty simple. one guy took a whole bunch of pics, he's an accountant, never done any car work, only took him a little less than an hr to do the whole thing, most guys 1/2 hr... i dont think its going to be a biggie... but i hear ya on what you are saying...been there done that..LOL

      frog eyes!!! LOL...yup...

Bob had to buy the radio removal tool also. When you have it, the job is a breeze ... doesn't take long at all.

                hahahahaahahahahaa

volts and oil pressure, in bars instead of psi.

first car i ever owned (performance car) that didnt come with those two gauges, seems the manaro does in australia, but with dot regs here in the US, dash mounted stuff like that has to be crash tested and yada yada...so poncho opted for the idiot lights instead....... i cant live with idiot lights.... already deal with too many idiots as it is......hahahaaha
