First off I was wondering how many people live within a reasonable distance from north Atlanta (Cumming, Gainsville, Canton, Dahlonega, Dawsonville areas)? Last year I went on a few mountain runs with some of the guys off the VW Vortex forum. We go north of GA 400 to Neel's Gap, through Vogal State Park and Suches. I was thinking about doing this in Spring 2006. We would of course try to plan a day that it wasn't raining. I went last year once when it was raining and got left in the dust by the AWD Audi's because my rear was slipping out. We had a great ride the other times. There are some beautiful areas up around Vogal State Park. If anyone is interested in this let me know because I'd love to have some F-bodies come (although any cars are invited) I know I've got a few friends that would join us.

North GA Mountain Run

Keep me updated. My wife likes to drive so she doesn't get car sick so I haven't gotten to take the Z up there. So we may have to do it in the PT Cruiser but I did put bigger front and rear sway bars on it so it's not too bad. I can't leave anything alone.Originally posted by FourthGenCamaro5First off I was wondering how many people live within a reasonable distance from north Atlanta (Cumming, Gainsville, Canton, Dahlonega, Dawsonville areas)? Awesome got more responce than I thought I would. I think it's a little late in the year to do one now; so probably early next year I'll be posting about it again. I was also wondering if anyone went to the Battle of the Shops in Montgomery Alabama last weekend (11/13/05)? It was mostly a bunch of riced civics and other stuff like that. There was a Civic hatch that ran a 10.1 sec quarter mile (not to bad). There where two Camaros there; I don't think they were in the bracket races they just ran.Speed kills... Drive a Ford and live forever!
