Last night, the History Channel had a show on the search of the USS Indianapolis. Just hearing the survivor's stories kept me from channel surfing, even during commercials. I was afraid I'd come back to it a few seconds late. It was that good.

A good amount of them were, yeah. It was horrible conditions, but a great story about survival. The Navy never sent an alert for the ship until three days later.

Talking about planes...if any of you ever get the chance, you should go to the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola...I could spend every day there. They also have veterans who volunteer to give guided tours, they tell all sorts of stories about some of the planes.

They change the exhibits fairly frequently, so I always see something new every time I go. One of the exhibits they've had for a few years is of two planes they found in a lake...instead of restoring them, they put them on exhibit looking as if they were still underwater. The exhibit is dark, and they filter lights through pans of water in the ceiling. You can still see bullet holes in the wings of the planes, and they have displays of things they pulled from the wreckage...like an unopened canteen of water.

Give a heads up when you come out and we'll go make a day of whatever floats your boat. Hit the slopes, 4x4, hiking, rock climbing, horses , or go romp the Camaro. I am pretty lame when it comes to the ocean though

Thanks for the offer Sean...that really means alot man. She just moved to Montecito a few years ago. This was my first time out there and words cannot even describe. I'm will surely be back.
