Here comes the snow, idiots hit the road....

So I drove down to Ohio last night to stay with a friend, I take the camaro at night in nice weather and make it in about an hour and a half.

Leave her dorm at like 9:30 this morning, and I just got in. Going N on 75 there were like 5 flipped cars, not exaggerated. Then there were the ones that were just on the side of the road all smashed up next to the guard rails.

The snow wasn't even really sticking. It was wet and all that, but come on people. It was crazy. 3 hours in a camaro with the rearend all over the place, with a SPEC stage 3 killing my foot, and now my back is sore. Weak.

I hear the weather is going to be worse tomorrow. My conquest is still being prepped for paint so I can't really drive that, so I'll be taking the camaro out again down to ford field for the Lions game.

This car sucks in the winter, it's a pain to drive

It is like that every winter. I don't understand it, people around here just cannot drive in any kind of weather. And it's not like it was a freak storm, I just drove 50 miles on 275 with no problem, but people were on the side of the road and brakes were locking up all over the place.

You would think they could figure it out by now, but I guess they forget every spring and have to re-learn it every fall.

yeah, not necassarily ohio people though.. It's like people in general. The snow wasn't even sticking, why were people flipping? Especially in F-150's. I don't get it. Maybe that's why, they feel so comfortable in their trucks they think they can drive crazy.

Yep, same crappy drivers up here too... Seriously people forget how to drive in the snow and they tense up. Not to mention all the people who are driving in it for the first time. The first day of snow, we had 2 explorers that came in totaled.

You guys think thats bad? When we get an INCH of snow down here in Georgia people go crazy. There is usually about fifty wrecks in Atlanta everytime it snows. Good thing it only snows down here about once a year.

You would think living in New England, people would be able to drive here. Not the case unfortunately. The first couple snows of the year are usually full of wrecks. We woke up to three inches of snow on Thanksgiving day. Sure enough, there was a 40 car pile-up on I-84. It took me 2 hours to get to my in-laws instead of the normal 20 minutes.
