      Hi thomas

Having shot more than 4000 pictures on my Nikon 990 over approx 8 years, I will definately be making a D70 my next purchase. At that price really nice pictures are kind of a given from those models. All three are awesome cameras and I am sure you will be instantly converted once you make the purchase decision. I am making mine on personal experience alone. Great pics from a less than great operator, and years of reliable performance.

      Yosemite through the 990:

Good luck with your decision. Enjoy!

I've got my D70 back in March, taken 9985 pictures with it so far and I love it. Mine was $1800 even but that included alot of stuff. 1gb CF card, 28-70mm lens, 70-300mm lens, tripod, mini-tripod, wide angle lens attachment, filters, soft camara bag, nice alum hard case, aftermarket battery and quick charger, cleaning kit, USB card reader, umm I think thats it.
