Recently, random cars have been pulling up in front of my girlfriend's house, sitting there for a few seconds, then driving away. Her sister broke up with her boyfriend a few months back, and not too long ago, her sisters new boyfriend had a problem with her old boyfriend. Her ex boyfriend's new girlfriend threatened my girlfriends sister. At the same time, they live in a relatively wealthy town, so I'm afraid it could be people scoping the place out to rob it. What do you guys think we should do? I told her to have her parents call the cops, and request that they have an officer sit outside their house in an unmarked car and wait. Saturday night when I took her home there was an Aztek sitting out there. When we pulled up, they moved up to the next house to make it look like they were lost. If she hadn't been in the car with me, I'd have followed them. I'm going out there again on Wednesday. If I see a car there again, I'm following them. I'll corner them if I can and confront them. Sure it's dangerous, but the thought of someone preying on my girlfriend and her family makes me want to kill. I'm hoping it's just her ex, since he's a coward and loves to do things like this to mess people's heads rather than confronting them. To make it worse, a month or so ago, there was a chain of robberies out by my house. I know that in at least one of the robberies, the guys went into the house while the people were still home and held them at gunpoint. They even pistol whipped one of the women inside the house. I'd love to put my shin across their faces

Don't follow. If you have a problem, you can call the police yourself, if her parents won't. Don't do anything foolish that could get you hurt dude. Taking the law into your own hands has two possible outcomes. You hurt someone and get into a lot of trouble, or you get hurt. No win situation. Let other people do the dirty work.

I guess you're right. The thought of people preying on others makes me want to stomp someone's head in. I'll turn the cheek in just about any situation, but this stuff brings my blood to an instant boil.

I typed it while I was on the phone with her. I was super freakin angry too. Should I rewrite it?

Someone (Who's name shall go unmentioned *cough Steve cough* lol) has brought it to my attention that this may sound like "high school drama". I wouldn't care, but her sisters car has already been damaged and we aren't 100% sure that it's her ex boyfriend either. Obviously they're hostile. If it's her ex, whatever. As I said, he's a coward. He threatened me, then when I confronted him he backed down, despite the fact that I was 17 and he was 23. You've all probably seen my picture too. I'm far from intimidating. I'm more concerned with the fact that these are theives that are going to break in and do something to my girlfriend or her family.

It was a little hard to follow who was doing what to who, but in any case, if you follow please only do so to get some plate numbers. If you catch more than one car or the same car doing this repeatedly, turn the plate number or numbers over to the cops and let themj handle it. They won't be able to do much more than ask the car's owner some questions, but maybe that would be enough to scare off whoever it was. Confronting the people on your own is only asking for trouble.

And don't forget, you may have strong suspicions about what's going on, but it could just be a series of coincidences and nothing sinister at all.

Yes, following is definitely a bad idea. Follow them for plates if need be, but let the police do the work.

Alpha Male Crap! Yeah we all know it.. Im sure we all have felt that way before but you know what. How often fo you read or hear about something like that (domething so small as a fist fight or whatever) and it turns into something else more serious like someone dies! Think about it. Its not worth it to take the law into your own hands. Ive been there and know how you feel. You just want to beat the sh*t out of them and thats probably as far as you would take it but what if one of them had a nife or worse, a gun. Maybe you wouldnt get it but what if one of them did. It would ruin your life for good! Your life as you know it would be over. No more girlfriend, no more f-body, and no more future! Nothing at all exempt worring about who is going to be knocking at your cell tonight. Like raroZ, and dave m said dont follow. We all are macho and we know how you feel but dont be the one that ends up on the other side of a barrel or anyside for that matter. Sorry for the rant. Just dont want to see any f-body buds end up like that.

Everytime you see something suspicious, just pickup the phone and call the police. A description of the car and the license number if you can get it will certainly help later if something does happen. I certainly wouldn't try any "heroics" though as that can easily backfire on you.
