There is no wound on the leg. Nothing that would suggest any kind of injury. You can hold it, stretch it out, feel it up and down and it all seems fine, and he seems ok, but he is just not himself. If you get too rough with it, he'll let out a little yelp.

Have you looked in between his pads? Dogs commonly cut their pads or in between their pads on rocks, sticks, or other sharp edges. He could have also lodged some sort of debris in beween his toes. My dog is very active and has done this many times. It's no big deal as long as you take care of the open wound.
If you don't see any open wounds on his leg or foot, he could have possibly strained or sprained his leg or paw. It is also not uncommon for dogs to get really bad cramps when the weather turns cold.
Is your dog older? Could be possible he is showing early signs of Arthritis.Comment

Woofer is about back to normal today. When the fridge opens, he darts to it, when someone has food, he runs over and gets a good view. Still walking slow, but definitely a lot better than yesterday.
