  • What needs lubrication on my rear suspension?

The rear end on my 2000 SS has finally developed some squeaks as you go over bumps. The suspension is stock. I don't think anything is worn out because I have less than 20K miles on the car. So what are the most likely culprits.....the sway bar bushings or end links or the control arm bushings or all of it? What is the best way to lubricate these bushings and what is the best stuff to use (silicone "grease" possibly)?

Any tips or "how to" suggestions you can offer would be appreciated.

I bet it's the sway bar bushings.
This "FORMULA 5 Prelube" is the best stuff for sway bar bushings. It's sticky and resists squirting out the ends when you tighten the clamps. http://www.energysuspension.com/pages/univ1.html
    They sell it at AutoZone.

Sway bar bushings, panhard rod, and even the rubber isolators on top of the springs can make noise. Grease the bushings real good, and for the rubber spring isolators you can use powdered graphite lube or a liberal amount of silicone lubricant. The Formula 5 is good stuff for the bushings.
