This year I will becoming back over to the USA as I always do! 6 of us coming over this year to florida again. The only thing is I want to take seven of us back?! Well what I meen is I will be on the look out for another F body! I will be keeping my 94v6maro as a daily driver ( which it always has been ) but looking for a nice late model v8, I would like to think maybe a ws6 bird or a ss maro manual trans but it all depends on finances! (as life always does)!
I would like a bit of advice if possible, obviously im not going to look at a car, fall in love with it, buy it on spare of moment, I need to give it a long test drive, but how do I stand on insurance? will the car yards insurance cover me? If I go private sales how do I insure myself? Or will sellers insurance cover me?
Is there anythings I should look out for, common faults? I Will hopefully find a low milage model.
    Any help will be appreciated
And hopefully I will have something nice to take back to England with me!
    Cheers everyone!

J/K There are a ton of nice f-body deals to be had in Florida as I'm sure Joe can tell you. Maybe you can buy one of the 87 f-bods he owns.

I'm not sure how it works cross the pond, and here in the States it differs from state to state. But here in Pennsylvania, if you buy a car and you have insurance on another vehicle already, you're automatically covered on the new vehicle for (I believe) 15 days. That gives you time to contact your insurance company and get the car covered. I would contact your current insurance carrier and they should be able to tell you what you need to know about buying out of country.
