  • We need to have a get together

I don't know about you guys, but I personally feel like I know many of you even though we've never met. We've shared a lot of opinions, hard times, good times, jokes, all kinds of things. Most of us have never even seen each other though. I have two weeks paid vacation this year, and I'd like to spend at least some of that time at an F-body.com gathering. I think it would be cool to get to meet everyone. It doesn't seem impossible. It just needs some planning. I think our best bet would be to meet somewhere in the center of the U.S. like Nebraska, Iowa or Kansas as that should be at farthest, half way across the country for any member here.

Who's with me here? Once I get my LS1, I gotta break it in. Why not make a 1,200 mile trip to meet up with fellow board members? I've been meaning to go on vacation with my lady friend as it is. She'd love to travel across the country with me with the T tops out. Just gotta bring plenty of gas money and make sure I'm here in mid July for the Emperor reunion show

I'm all for it! I mentioned something about it last year, although I think a vast majority of people on the eastern seaboard so a gathering east of the mississippi would likely draw a lot more people then something in the midwest. I'd be happy to help plan something if we were serious about getting something together.

I just figured it would be fair for the California members, Washington members, Texans, etc. It's not really about being fair to the majority. More about being fair to everyone equally. You're probably right though. We'll wait to see what others have to say. If the Western board members don't have a problem traveling a couple hundred miles more, the closer to NY it is, the better it is for me!

Better yet, let's all pull up in front of Joe's house and help him out around the house!

I was thinking Florida would be a great place to have it, because families could make it a weeklong vacation to the normal florida tourist spots and take a day or two out to have our shindig, those without families could still soak up the sun and beaches and make a vacation out of it if they wanted to. The only problem is that it's quite a drive for the majority of people.

That would be awesome. I hate long trips, but I'm sure this would be worth it for sure . Count me in, just gotta pick a locale.

Wow, I think you're on to something with the Florida idea, but it's rough on guys like Steve and 78formula78. That's an awesome idea though. Kill two birds with one stone!

I dont' know man, imagine that. If you flew, we'd all have our F-bodies and you'd probably have to catch a ride with one of us or rent a car. You might feel out of place or a little angry that you can't show off your car. Not to mention that we dont' have many 2nd gens around here Your car would definitely stand out. The best time for this would probably be the Summer, so there's plenty of time. Fix up your monster and get a radar detector

I'm interseted in this as well. As long as the drive is reasonable and I can do it in a single day. I can typically go for 8-12 hours before I need to call it a day. I could easily make it to the center of the country in that time.
