    Why are you going?

    1) to see other F-bodies
    2) to meet fellow board members

If you ask me, #2 gets my vote first, with #1 trailing a ways behind. I've seen tons of f-bodies, and we all are pretty familure with eachothers cars already. I want to meet the people behind the cars. If that means we fly or drive a sedan to get to the meet, that is no big problem.

How about Branson ,MO as a meeting place. We can plan a day of activities, a picnic at a park, a baseball game, etc. I hear there are tons of thing to do there. Maybe we caould all race eachother at a go-cart track. I can see having a blast that way! What better way to get to know eachother and do a little man-bonding?
You don't want of me on the gocart track. I believe that rubbin is racin'. LOL

You're not alone. I've spun out a few friends with that bump move the police use. The easiest way to pass em is to put em sideways! So, have you ever been kicked out of the go-cart track?

By the looks of the minimal responses, I think we would be better off just all attending a major car show or event. We would still get to meet the faces behind the cars and have a great time.

If just 10-15 even 20 members showed up and shot the breeze and a designated meeting location, it would likely get real boring real fast.

We should plan a meet at maybe Woodward. I think that would be ideal.

Again, I don't want to push my home turf too bad... what about some sort of NHRA or NASCAR event in a more "central" location?

I'm sorry Tracy, but 10-15 of us meeting with nothing "bigger" going on just doesn't sound that inticing to me. I won't plan on attending an event that's out of state if it is just the board members... Additionally, we've all done "dyno days" or "track days" before... there has to be something else.

I absolutely believe Woodward would be an ideal event for this group. I'll reiterate - 40,000 world class classic, muscle, and sports cars, and 1.7 million people last year. In fact, I'd be willing to try and set something up even if it isn't the "official f-body.com" event for anyone who is interested.

What about the ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals, October 26-29, in Las Vegas.

Here is a screen shot of that Frapper F-body map. The vast majority of the 60 members who registered are in the Eastern half of the country, more specifically the NE.

Looks like the choice for Woodward is reinforced, or possibly the O’Reilly Mid-South Nationals, August 18-20, in Memphis, TN.

                Ahhh... good thinking Kev!!!

With so many members in Chicago, and so many members in New England... Detroit is actually very centralized for the majority!!!

I won't be going to the O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals, as that would conflict with the Woodward Dream Cruise week which I will definitely be going to regardless of where our event is held.

I would definitely agree to Vegas! To me, it's a practical location to bring family and have fun. Now if the only trouble would be those in the east coast driving there.

So what's the latest? Do we have a consensus on where/when we are holding this? It seems that the most central location to the most people would be the ohio/kentucky/tennessee area, but anything is still open. Perhaps the Corvette factory in Bowling Green, KY?

Is there an event in these areas during the summer? There needs to be an event that we all go to...
