  • New Veggie Car

I am working on a new vegetable oil powered car. I bought another mercedes, this time a wagon. I wanted to keep the tank out of the rear cargo area and there was no where to mount it under the body. So, I extended the rear bumper and mounted it between the bumper and the body of the car. Im getting mixed reviews on it. Some say it looks cool and others say its hideous. What do you think

I just sold my other veggie car and made a lot of money on it. DO you think mounting a tank like this will hurt the resale value? Its totally reversable. I just have to take the extensions out and put the tank in the passenger compartment.

I don't think it's going to hurt the resale value as it's unique. Plus, as you stated, it's totally reversible.

As in veggie oil all over, yes. Its not explosive so I dont have to worry about that. If im rear ended, its the other guy's fault, so he's buying me a new veggie tank! LOL!

So, one more FOR it. I think im going with it. The reason I bought the wagon was to have the extra room for my family. I dont want a hot, smelly veggie tank in the car taking up that room....totally defeats the purpose. I think im gonna paint the tank flat black and put a decal on it that says "Powered by waste vegetable oil".

I should put a little solenoid valve on the tank so when I get into those high speed chases with the police, I can james bond it and lose em in an oil slick!

I made about 2 grand on the 300D that i just sold. It sold on ebay within 24hrs, so that tells me it went too cheap too.

As fas making a business out of it, my father's shop is now installing them. Its getting pretty big.
