  • Post The Strangest Automotive Conversions

    Inspired by this thread...

    http://www.f-body.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15455

Post the strangest conversion you've ever seen, either in person or on the web... Even if it's clearly a photo-chop. I'll start it off with this late Fox-body Mustang converted into a Ranchero (this one is real).

    SOLD: 2002 Trans Am WS.6 - Black on Black - 6 Speed
    SLP Loudmouth Exhaust
    17K Miles

2005 Acura TL - Silver on Black
Navigation - Surround Audio - Bluetooth

I don't know if you could call it a conversion, but it definitely qualifies as strange in my book.
Red 95 Trans Am: M6, Moroso CAI, Magnaflow, Spohn sway bars, back to life as of 2/15/10!!!
      SOLD- Kinda miss it
94 Del Sol VTEC: 27 city/ 33 highway, knee deep in slowness
      SOLD- Good riddance!
2006 Ford Fusion: 2.3, 5 speed, could run 15lbs of boost with a 150 shot and it'd still be slow

found this on thirdgen.org. What a waste of a good Firebird body.

The rear end looks like a car I've seen around here. Front end is the stock ride height and the back is raised about 6 inches. Half the car is painted red, the other side is yellow, and the hub caps are painted to match the opposite sides of the car. Wish I could get a photo of it.

'87 Camaro - 2.8L MPFI, 700R4 swapped to T5, B&M Ripper Shifter, Dynomax Super Turbo muffler, CATCO high flow cat, K&N air filters, 180 degree thermostat w/200-180 fan switch, 3.42 rear end, Global West steering brace, polyurethane bushings/trans mount, Spohn adjustable torque arm.
'88 Formula (stolen), '96 Camaro RS, (sold), '91 Firebird (sold),

Somehow I think that guy is still either benefitting or suffering(however you want to look at it) the long term side effects of those drugs. Eye of the beholder I guess.

Is that a TransMaro or a Cam Am? Some guy on thirdgen.org actually did something like that. He had the front half of a Camaro and the rear of a Firebird. If he had reversed them, it might have actually looked really good. Instead, it just looked confused.

Here's one for you survivalists, lol

                          Nothing big from this shot

                          Now getting a bit strange

Ok, now we know where this is going

Apparently, the T/A is from a tv show that was never picked up...but doesn't mention if all the weaponry are props. I would assume so, but who knows

I'm not really sure, I ran across that after doing a Google search for "Firebird Pic".
I would be interested to know what the story is behind that myself. It looks like a modified Trans Am, maybe 98-02? I like it though
