  • Here We Go Steelers!!

Sorry guys it has been a while for the Steelers - it is their time! Even if you are not a Steelers fan you have to appreciate what the Steelers just accomplished. They beat the #1, #2, and #3 seeds - all on the road. What a way to send Jerome Bettis into retirement. I really respect the Bus as a player and as a person. Go Steelers - deliver ring #5 to the Rooneys!

not to say anything bad about the steelers... but my seahawks are going all the way this year, now your steelers have had a very impresive playoff season and i would agree with you, beating the top three seeds on the road is something to gloat about but... i still say my seahawks are gonna be the champs...

only thing im lil worried bout is how the colts and broncos almost came back to win it, the steelers need to fix that cuz seahawks will expliote that if giving the chance. other wise, since im a niners fan and the seahawks are in my divison, GO STEELERS!

Either way it will be a good game... I hope the Seahawks win it just because it is there first superbowl EVER. This gives us Michiganders hope for Detroit... Plu, when my wife found out who would be playing, she immediately said the Steelers would win. Sooooo I had to oppose her for arguments sake.

          GO STEEELERS!!!!!!

Been a Steeler fan all my life. 1995 was tough when they lost to the Cowboys. I don't know. I just have a feeling about this team. Roethlisberger, Ward, Miller, Polamalu... They're all playing on another level now. They peaked at the right time.

It's going to be a stressful two weeks.

Also - I love how the Seahawks are the top seed in the NFC, yet the Steelers, a sixth seed in the AFC, are favored.

It's going to be a good game on many levels. Steeler's are favored by 3 1/2 points as of right now, but I would like to see the Seahawks pull this one out. I am a lifelong Cowboys fan so going for the Steelers would be sacreligious!

I know what you mean. The Steelers/Cowboys rivalry has to be one of the biggest for two teams in separate conferences.

Agreed on the Indy "comeback" but Denver was never close to making that a game in the 2nd half. Indy had the benefit of "the int er incomplete" and "the fumble" to make it a game. More than my stomach can take. Cowher is playing the odds and is playing really conservative on offense in the 2nd half with a lead. I am also a Ohio State fax so I get to see the same thing in college football too. An overmatched team making a comeback because we pulled back too soon. I think the super bowl will be good but I do think the Steelers will win - it is their year. Seattle is not balanced enough on offense. Pitt will stop Alexander - Hasselback will have to throw to win.

Plus, there is no way the football gods can allow a Hasselbeck to win the Superbowl.... Can they?

They allowed Trent Dilfer to win it.

Hasselbeck is EONS better than Dilfer (and better than the majority of NFL QBs as well - hence the second straight ProBowl)

I still believe the 2000 Superbowl never happened (mostly because, as a Steeler fan, I hate the Ravens with every ounce of my soul). The Ravens hadn't scored an offensive touchdown in something like 4 or 5 games at one point in the season. Trent Dilfer was just along for the ride.

Hasselbeck may have to actually try to win the game for the Hawks if the Steelers defense shuts down Alexander like they did every other back this season. Let's not forget, this is the same guy who won the coin flip in overtime two years ago against Green Bay. Then said "We want the ball and we're going to score".

He then proceeded to throw a pick that went for 6 the other way.
