  • I'm recovering from a surgery I had today.

This morning at 10:00 I had my double hernia operated on and repaired. The doctor did both sides at the same time using the laparoscope. I'm in pretty bad pain right now, and am high as a kite on painkillers. They say I will be off my feet for 3-5 days. I go back to work on the 31st.

I hate hospitals. I hate getting the I.V. started. I hate being stripped of my clothing, jewelry and shoes and stuck in a little room. I hate waking up dazed and in pain. I hate recovering from this crap.

I'm very thankfull they were able to do it with the scope instead of the old fassioned slash and stitch method!

All I have to say is "ouch". It still hurts.

Yup, project 94 is on hold until I recover.

It's the first day after sergery and I am already moving around slowly on my own. This is unreal. The scope rules. If I had this done the conventional way I'd be on my back for a week. Heck, they wont even do a double the conventional way all at the same time. They do them one side at a time, and it is at least a week recovery for each side.

Thanks everybody for the well wishes! I'll be fine I'm sure!

Oh suck it up and get to work lol j/k

Seriously, I hope you feel mucho better mucho soon. I remember when my dad went in for his single hernia. It took him a few weeks before he was back to normal. Definitely not a fun thing. Take care, get plenty of rest and watch a bunch of movies.

How in the world did you get a double hernia?

Take it easy and have a speedy recovery.

LOL! Honestly, I have no idea how I got it. I've had it for years and it has been getting worse, so I figured I'd better get it fixed up before I'm old and frail like Ken.
