Yamaha HTR-5890 Digital AV Receiver (140 watts x 7 channels)
JBL Northbridge Speakers
2 E 90s floor standing speakers
4 E 10s surrounds
1 E 30 center
1 E-250 12 inch 250 watt powered subwoofer
using existing Bose cubes as rear surrounds
This receiver is amazing! Volume control and parametric equalizer on each channel. The best part is with the calibrated microphone the receiver adjusts everything to your acoustics. Check this out, it can tell how far each speaker is from the microphone! It does this it adjust the delay! so the sound arrives at your ears at the same time and equalized exactly to your speakers and your room. My consumer grade speakers sound like audiophile ones that cost $1000 a piece!
If any of you guys are still in the stereo world, you need to check out the new digital receivers that are on the market today.
PS the sound is awesome.
PPS If I was in the States, I would go for E100s and the Yamaha 5990 with satellite radio.
