  • Might get some interesting work

So apparently Spohn is based right by where I go to college and I talked to the guy there about maybe getting a job down there doin something. So tomorrow I cna probably go fill out an application and see if i cant get some gainful employment to refill my bank account after my engine purchase.

I'm not sure what I'll be doing, obviously not R&D, but maybe some product testing j/k

Who knows but it might be neat to work down there, yeah for employee discounts!

You should talk to Fred. He might be willing to put in a good word or two. I think he knows those guys fairly well.

The Spohn shop is really interesting, and huge.... its on the corner of an 800,000 square foot building. Originally it was an aluminum mill, and Alcoa closed it up many years ago. Someone bought the site for next to nothing, and started developing it as an industrial complex..... Steve Spohn was the first tenant. The main building is large enough that you could run a 1/4-mile drag completely indoors. Shutdown might be a problem though.... might have to do that outdoors

            Let me know what develops.

Will do guys, Steve called me yesterday and said that something like half of his workforce are people who go to school around here and that they were doing some expansion so I should go in and fill out an application which I will do in the next few hours hopefully. So if anything comes from it Ill be sure to let you guys know.

Well I just got back from Spohn and it looks like I'm gonna be able to work there!!

I'm pretty excited and I get to start on Saturday. They said right now I'd probably be assembling and packing for now, but that once they get some new machines in I'll actually get to do some of the machine work involved!

And of course I mentioned that I spend like half my day on this site and they new all about it haha. Should be some good experience.
