  • High Revving or Low Growling??

So what is it guys? You can choose one of the other? A high revving engine or a low growling grunt?

regardless of speed and all that, say the engines are relatively the same in stats but just based on sound which would you rather have? And im not talking about ricer high revving either.

    Would you take this??
    High Rev

    or this?
    Low Growl

I voted high rev. By the way, that GTO probably hit at least 7K... I'd definitely say that's high revving.

Why not both?? There are tons of 500 plus cubic inch motors out there spinning well over 7k. And yes, they grumble just a little at idle!

And yes, that GTO was probably spinning it up to 7k. That's a high revving motor. There are lots of big cube LSx motors that are spinning over 7k and have an incredible grumble down low like no other. So why limit yourself to one or the other when you can have your cake and eat it to.

I love the low grumble and chest shaking bass, but I like it more when you gun it and the mechanical shierk fills the air, or your ears. I'll take both if I can, if not, high rev me.

High revs, for some reason, remind me too much of ricers. I'll take the low grumble.

I like them both. Actually, one of the sweetest sounds I ever heard was a 9000+ rpm small block chevy though 180º headers. Music to my ears!

Come to think of it, nothing compares to a Nitro Dragster or Funny Car. Jets are awesome too.
