BMWs are targeted toward the driving enthusiast and both perform their job well.

I just saw a commercial for the Buick Lucerne that compared it directly to a Lexus.

Buick's new line of cars (Lucerne, Lacrosse) are very different from their predecessors (Park Ave, LeSabre, Regal). The fit and finish on the new cars are not only comparable with many Japanese cars, but exceed them.

The new Lucerne is getting very good press from those that overlook the name, and what it used to stand for.

Speaking of bland, me-too looks... How about BMW? They've looked basically the same for several years now. It was a good look, but whatever. It doesn't do anything for me anymore.
