    O2 sensors have no idea how much actual fuel is going across them. They only sense oxygen and make an assumption as to a a/f ratio based upon that presence of O2. There are all kinds of things that can wreak havoc with closed loop reporting. Also if your Power Enrichment tables are slightly off, the PCM can be commanding more pulsewidth than neccessary.

    Best thing to do is to set yourself up with a scanner or some scanning software and a ALDL cable so that you can record freeze frame movies and/or graphs of all your powertrain's data. Mail order tunes are fine for bolt-ons, but you really need to have the car tuned real time on a loaded dyno to nail the PE tune.
