    got my free 406 tonight. so nice, already been machines, cleaned and repluged(freeze and oil). prob gonna go thru the heads with new seals and oil everything up and port em. haha can we say my new plate is gonna say "cobra who?"

    1986 350 TPI Trans Am, 700R-4, Flowmaster exhaust, CAI, 180* t/stat, low temp fan switch, SFC's....Sold.

    Project Status: LT1 disassembled, researching costs, searching for project car.

      What tranny\rearend are you gonna stick behind that thing I think you may have a little too much power for the stock setup to handle .
      1994 Firebird Formula, M6, Fan switch, 160 thermostat, Pacesetter LT headers, Morosso CAI, TB bypass, True duals.

        ill use the t-5 and 10 bolt for now limited funds but i will end up doing a t-56 (if it fits) and a 12 bolt.

        im gonna prob throw this kicking motor into the bird. i think i better get some SFC soon

          That sounds sweet man, make sure we get some pics of the project!!! Just think, when you destroy the 10 bolt itll be time for an upgrade!!

            Take it easy on the skinny pedal till you get them swapped out lol, and the SFC's are a great idea it makes a huge difference in how it handles and you won't ruin your frame. Whats this going to be a high revving motor or tons of grunt down low?

              ill prob spin it 5500 that should be high enough for me and for track/street use . best part since im going carb, i dont gotta change my fuel pump i cant wait now
