  • GM parts direct is Awful

After a whole month for my new headliner, I received one for a hardtop car, after asking a local dealer for the part #. GM parts direct stated they had the part but with no description of any of the headliners listed. They basically dont even have customer support! I wrote a return policy thing through email to them demanding a replaced headliner. Lets see what happens, I should have never used this place....

After rechecking any available parts places, i found another part # for a graphite colored t top headliner which is 12525672. The GM website doesnt even recognize that number! This is such a mess!

Sorry to hear about your problems. You are not alone. Hope you get it straightened out.

I've ordered from them once (never again). They take forever to ship, and the shipping charge is quite high IMO.

'87 Camaro - 2.8L MPFI, 700R4 swapped to T5, B&M Ripper Shifter, Dynomax Super Turbo muffler, CATCO high flow cat, K&N air filters, 180 degree thermostat w/200-180 fan switch, 3.42 rear end, Global West steering brace, polyurethane bushings/trans mount, Spohn adjustable torque arm.
'88 Formula (stolen), '96 Camaro RS, (sold), '91 Firebird (sold),

Yeah, service at gmpartsdirect.com seems to be a little spoty. Sometimes they're great, other times...well...you know. They earn a profit on their shipping too. After reading some experiences, I figure I'll use them as a last ditch place to order from.

Why bother with them even in a last ditch effort? Official GM stuff goes with Dal Salbaugh or Jason Crommer. And both of these guys will edit your part number anyway if you ask them.
The Old Guy! '94 z-28, m-6, t-tops, go-fast red, 316k. Now with '96 engine w/ Lt-4 hot cam, roller rockers, heavy duty timing chain, and Spec stage 2 clutch.
